Day 3: Petersen’s Automotive Museum in Los Angeles

When considering options for the LA tour, Kids 4 Hydrogen unanimously agreed that the Petersen Automotive Museum would be top on their list.  They set up their display at the entrance of the museum so everyone who entered the museum would be able to see the F-Cell and talk with the team.  Sharing their enthusiasm with car buffs was quite exciting.  The team met with people who shared their knowledge about the history of internal combustion engines and how electric motors were invented and running over 100 years ago.

After their presentation, the students walked through the museum to see the  amazing collection of cars.  Probably the most fascinating was the EV1 and the caption that made it sound like battery technology was inefficient and cumbersome (obviously not true!).
