Students met with Juan Contreras of the California Fuel Cell Partnership to learn how the hydrogen industry is working together to build a H2 infrastructure and collaborate with fuel cell car manufacturers. By asking questions of Juan, they came away with a better understanding of how Kids 4 Hydrogen could join their goal of getting fuel cell cars on the California roads by the year 2015.
The students test drove a Nissan fuel cell car with Ben Xiong. Michael says that he likes the power and quick acceleration in this large fuel cell car. This was Zohar’s first test drive and he was quite impressed. The next adventure for the students will be in a few weeks when they head to Santa Monica to meet fuel cell car manufacturers at the Alt Car Expo on Sept 29th.
