The Kids 4 Hydrogen team met Raymond Lee, Mercedes R&D, at the Emeryville H2 Station twice on the northern California tour. They learned how to pump H2 into the F-Cell and watched a fleet of H2 and CNG buses come and go.
Heads were turning as the team drove the F-Cell over the Golden Gate Bridge, down Lombard Street, along the Embarcadero to the Exploratorium, Pier 39, and Fisherman’s Wharf. The team enjoyed talking to well-educated policymakers. They discussed political issues about oil companies and fracking for natural gas (CNG) at the Capitol Building. They even sat in on a Calif Air Resources Board meeting at the EPA building!
